A model airbrush double action airbrush from Badger, USA, which is offered with a 0.2mm nozzle. The airbrush has an integral (non-replaceable) reservoir with a volume of 1/12 oz, or approximately 2.5 ml. The manufacturer recommends filling it with paint to about 2/3 of its volume. It is worth adding that it has been fitted with a lid to prevent accidental paint splashing. On the other hand, it is positioned above the tool's body, which means that the paint is fed by gravity while working. On the other hand, the mixing of paint and air takes place before the head is lowered (so-called internal mixing). Like other dual-function airbrush sprayers, this tool allows simultaneous control of both the air flow rate and the amount of injected paint with corresponding movements of the trigger lever, which, among other things, makes it possible to achieve a smooth colour transition. The airbrush in question also has a mechanism for adjusting the maximum so-called 'stroke' of the firing pin located at the rear. It should also be noted that the body of the tool has been slightly lengthened by the manufacturer (if only in relation to the 105 Patriot series), which makes it fit even better in the hand, and its balance is very good. It is also very easy to remove and reinstall the trigger mechanism, thanks to the manufacturer's "Track and Winged" system. In addition, the mechanism itself is rather sensitive and susceptible to even slight movements of the finger, and its finial has been shaped to increase comfort. Another noteworthy feature is Badger's patented mounting of the firing pin in the tool's body, which allows very rapid removal and subsequent mounting (Easy Access). Also worthy of note is the fact that the manufacturer uses high-quality Teflon (PTFE) gaskets, which have an excellent service life and, above all, are not very susceptible to the effects of modelling chemicals. Nevertheless, it is recommended that it be used with paints of low density and viscosity, and thus proper attention should be paid to their proper dilution before use. On the other hand, due to the size of the nozzle (0.2 mm), the presented airbrush will prove useful above all for those airbrushing jobs that require a high degree of precision. Examples include the shading technique or the camouflage painting of multi-coloured aircraft or combat vehicles. With the right skills, it can be successfully used when painting 1:72 scale models and 1:35 scale or 54 mm (and larger!) figures. It can also be used when working with all types of dioramas or vignettes. The presented airbrush is undoubtedly a very good quality modelling tool, which, with proper use and maintenance, can serve for many years in the workshop of many modellers, especially intermediate or very advanced ones. It should be noted that the presented airbrush is offered only with a 0.2 mm nozzle, a needle dedicated to it, an integral paint container with a lid, an adapter and 2 Allen keys. The whole is housed in a handy carrying case for easy storage and possible transport. Finally, it is worth noting that it is recommended to use this airbrush at a compressed air pressure of approx. 1.05 to approx. 3.45 bar (15-50 PSI), while the optimum pressure is approx. 2.1 bar (30 PSI).
