This decal sheet comes in 1/72 scale. The decal sheet includes stencils as well as marking for 5 different Mi-24's. This decal sheet covers the Mi-24 Hind from 5 different airforces including Polish, Soviet, German, Iraqi (Desert Storm), and East German. The painting options include everything from a 2 tone grey green upper surface with a shark mouth of the Polish Hind on this sheet to the dark green and Brown/Yellow of the Iraqi Hind on this sheet. The quality of the sheet is good....excellent colours.....clear printing and completely in register although the stencil data for the 1/72 stencils are too small to be clearly printed and readable. I recommend this sheet to anyone looking for interesting options to the kit decals.
Decal option #1 is a Mi-24D Hind D from the Soviet Air Force stationed in East Germany in 1979. This particular chopper is painted Light Grey Green FS 36583 and Grey Green FS 34226 on the top side and pale Blue FS 35622 on the underside.
Decal option #2 is a Mi-24W Hind E from the Polish Army Aviation, 3rd Sqn, 56th CHR, Inowroctaw Air Base. This particular chopper is painted Light Grey Green FS 36583 and Grey Green FS 34226 on the top side and pale Blue FS 35622 on the underside. The bonus feature of this particular Hind is the big Sharks Mouth on the nose area.
Decal option #3 is a Mi-24 D Hind D from the Iraqi Air Force from Talil Air Base in February 1991. This particular chopper is painted Dark Green FS34097 and Brown/Yellow FS 33245 on the top side and pale Blue FS 35622 on the underside.
Decal option #4 is a Mi-24 D Hind D from the East German Air Force / LSK /, KHG3 from Cottbus Air Base in 1981. This particular chopper is painted Light Grey Green FS 36583 and Grey Green FS 34226 on the top side and pale Blue FS 35622 on the underside.
Decal option #5 is a Mi-24 D Hind D from the German Army / Bundeswehr / HFISt80 / former KHG5 from Basepohl Air Base in 1991. This particular chopper is painted Light Grey Green FS 36583 and Grey Green FS 34226 on the top side and pale Blue FS 35622 on the underside.
